DESCRIPTION

Kincardine Cabin Retreat is hidden amongst giant cedar trees overlooking the shores of Lake Huron. The property is less than 3 minutes by foot away from downtown Kincardine, the Lighthouse, and pristine Blue Flag beaches. This rustic property has a prominent place in local history stemming from its roots as a tourist retreat from 1946-1970, when it was known as HILORCORT CABINS.

This unique rental property is available only in the months of June-
to November. It’s perfect for a group or for family reunions and special events. It is best suited for a maximum of 12 people and the weekly rate includes 4 cabins, stone cottage, cook house, bath house, deck area and exclusive use of the west end of the grounds. It is also available for weekend and nightly rental when not fully rented or on a case per case basis. In total, there is one King size bed (Cabin 4), two Queen size beds (Cabins 1 & 2), two Double bunk beds with a single bed on top (Stone Cottage) and a pull out couch and futon (Cabin 3 - which is connected to Cabin 4).

Cook House

Located on the back deck and has all the required items to cook a family feast! There are two fridges, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, dishwasher, and double sink. The Cook House also includes all dishes, pots, pans, and cutlery for the rental. On the accompanying deck area, there is a large BBQ, griddle, and deep fryer. Beach & Park access is through the main West gate. Ample parking is available during the duration of the rental.

Bath House

Located beside the Stone Cottage and has a large shower, clawfoot tub, toilet, and sink.

Outdoor Hot Water Shower

Located steps from the cabins and is enclosed in Canadian Cedar outdoor shower with two multi head shower towers and a 2' diameter rain shower head. Tankless hot water heaters ensures you never run out of hot water👍😀.

Fire Pits

Located on the grounds near the front of the cabins, which can accomodate larger groups, and a smaller firepit on the upper deck behind the cabins and overlooking the lake. Free firewood is provided during the rental period.

Water

Water throughout the property is drinkable and provided via municipal services. The sinks in Cabins 1, 2, and 4 have cold water only.

Pricing

$3600/week =$514/ night for up to 12 people

$1500/ weekend for up to 12 people

For special events (more than 5 extra people visiting) rates to be determined

(Includes: 3 cabins, Stone Cottage, Cook House, Bath House, Deck Area, and exclusive use of the grounds for up to 12 people.

Rental rates for the Cabins Retreat Area is for a maximum of 12 people and individuals beyond this number staying on the property without prior approval will be cause for the cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of any funds received.

Weekly Bookings are Sunday-Sunday (Check-in Time: 4:00 PM, Check-out Time: 11:00 AM)

Weekend Bookings are Friday-Sunday ( Check-in Time: 4:00 pm and Check-out Time 11:00 AM)

Note: Please respect these times in order to allow the property manager time to clean and prepare the property.

Reservation down payment & damage deposit - $500 (refundable if reservations cancelled prior to 30 days, and no damage to property upon checkout). Upon submitting the damage deposit, the renter must confirm they have read the rules and the rates and will abide by them.

Full payment must be received by e-transfer 3 weeks prior to arrival along with the list of the names of all guests to a maximum of 12.

This is a unique, historic property and we reserve the right to refuse booking to any group we feel is not compatible with it's historic nature.

Firewood is provided at no charge. Clean linens are provided, but you will need to bring your own towels and toiletries. There is a laundromat within walking distance.
